Wells Fargo Championship Donates $1.2 million To Numerous DC Area Charity Foundations
Includes $250,000 to both The First Tee of Greater DC And National Links Trust
Potomac, MD October 21, 2022— Tournament officials announced today, on behalf of Champions for Education, Wells Fargo Championship charity donations raised from this year’s PGA TOUR event staged at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farms this past May.
Since 2003, the Wells Fargo Championship has raised $28 million and raised awareness for numerous charitable foundations in three areas in which it has been contested—Charlotte NC, Wilmington NC, and the DC area.
This year, as in the past, the annual event has been able to touch numerous organizations with various services and needs including—The First Tee of Greater Washington, National Links Trust, Adventist HealthCare, The House DC, Families 4 Families, Communities in Schools, Easter Seals of Greater Washington, Salute Military Golf.Org. Howard University Golf team and numerous others.
